Class Visitation Report
The main topic was “Motivation”. The professor defined the motivation first, and then identified a variety of motivations for participation in recreation. She kept asking students questions and everyone was involved in the class. One of the topics is recreation in the lives of children. She mentioned that overscheduled child and asked us did we take some classes such as piano, violin classes after school. It recalls me when I was young; I went to cram school after class and to do homework or to review the lessons there. Many people think children will stand pressures. Indeed, I didn’t feel many pressures. I made lots of friends and the teacher taught me how to write my homework. And she taught us Maslow’s hierarchy of needs and some motivation concepts which I learned that before, so I am familiar with these parts.

Class Visitation Report
In today’s class, the professor started by refreshing student’s memories about the last course the had had. Next, since the students were asked to read chapter 2 of the book they are using, the professor explained some points. For example, he talked about the ways slaves were given. Some slaves were given in exchange with some tools like guns, mirror and some others. Other slaves were deported because the community wanted to punish them. Many of them were sold. After, the explanations, we watched a part of a movie called Kunta Kinte. This movie is about slavery and the part that we have seen is about the process of slaves auction. Hundreds of slaves were deported from Africa to America, Mary Land. Among them, only 83 have survived. Once in the US, they worked very hard and then them have been sold. The selling was on bid. The slaves’ owner talked and asked people who want to buy some slaves.

Class visitation report
Today I went to attend the class that taught Chinese. First of all, the teacher introduced today as a special day- single stick’s day for those who are single and then he helped students review the last lesson about the weather. After that, he began today’s new lesson about the hobbies and taught us about 20 new vocabularies by reading them twice. Secondly he made us read a dialogue that showed how to talk about hobbies in Chinese and then students practiced in pairs. At the end of the class, he showed us a movie about Jingxiu Zhonghua in Shenzhen. In China we have different teaching methods. When I was a little child, we learnt Pinyin first and then learnt how to write. We practiced writing every work at least 200 times in order to remember them, but here classes are easier, at least students don’t need to write every word that many times.

Class visitation report
Today I went to UNCG class-Chemistry. The professor talked about chemistry elements such as N & O and how they combine into NO3. One N has five-valence e- and each O has six e-s. There is one O that shares two pair of e- s with N, which makes it strong and secure. After that, the professor showed the difference between the molecular forces when there are different molecules combined with the same elements with different numbers. Because it is in a big class, the professor just keep talking instead of asking students to do activities. Students could interrupt the speech of the professor anytime when they don’t understand. The professor will solve the problem to make it clear. It’s easy for me, because the professor’s explanation was very clear and he also showed vivid images. I think I can handle it when I go to UNCG for classes.

Professor: Minita J. Sanghvi
Class visitation report
This class is about consumer retail. Today teacher wanted to have some quiz that she taught this and last week. The tests way was not paper test. She used power-point to encourage answering questions. If students answer these questions correctly, they will get one point. The question I impressed was “The top three retail markets are WalMart, Carrefoul S.A. and Kmart.” Moreover, WalMart’s profits are 350 billion per year. These numbers are very huge so I think maybe WalMart has their tactics to gain money. Teacher also has some quiz about two kind of markets combine together such as supermarket plus department store is called Hypermarket. I like this class because I can learn some information about retailing market. I remembered when I was in high school, we have this kind of class. But both of them are tell different markets because one is Taiwan’s market and other is American market I think this a good chance to know American markets.

Course Title: Intro to Media Studies
Professor: Franklin P. Donaldson
Class Visitation Report:
The main topic was “The Internet and the world of the Wide Web”. The professor mentioned according to the media news that “the T.V. profits will go down in a 15% with the use of the Internet” This is because is a cheaper way of entertainment and streaming technology is a reliable way to watch T.V. without having one. Other point that the professor mentioned is “That the media industry will be more competitive”. Will be works available but people have to strive to have a job because Internet is controlling the media business in these days.
Furthermore, he gave to us a brief summary about the Internet. The internet began with a person named Herman Hollerith’s. 1970 the personal computer with LAN connection technology was created. Then he gave us some interesting facts such as: no one owns the Internet and there is no Internet company. In 1990 the world knew about the Internet and in 2005, more than 400 million people were hosted in the Internet.
The other interesting thing that I learned in this class is how the Internet works. 40% of the profits are from the internet advertisement. The e-commerce had made 2$ trillion worldwide. But the Internet has some errors that have to be resolve. The internet has a lack of gate keepers in other words, there is no censorship and there is no one that can control the internet traffic. Besides the errors in the Internet, this new media have a influence in society. People can get addicted to the Internet and can isolate them self’s of real life. The future of the internet is the Ever net, it will be anywhere and in any place. Refrigerators, IDs, Credit Cards, etc.
In conclusion, I like the class a lot but it was very difficult to understand because the class was huge (maybe 112 students) and the professor made the class a lit of bit boring. Even though the class had a lack of excitement, it was fun to know about the internet. I had a lot of questions about it and know I now and I thank Interlink for giving me this opportunity.

In this class, the professor started by a simple introduct of what is communicate studies-is an academic field that deals with processes of communication, commonly defined as the sharing of symbols over distances in space and time.
Therefor the professor asked some of the students what is communication in there opinion. And they have many different answer, such as conversation, body language, and eye contact. Then the professor said it is right but not prefect.communicate is not just what we think as usually. It is often considered a part of both the social sciences and the humanities, drawing heavily on fields such as sociology, psychology, anthropology, and economics as well as rhetoric, literary studies, linguistics, and semiotics. The field can incorporate and overlap with the work of other disciplines as well, however, including engineering, architecture, mathematics, computer science, gender and sexuality studies. And now the communicate become more and more important in this modern society, so it is very important to study how to communicate.

Professor: Linda C. Danford
Class visitation report:
The teacher begined this class use a general introduction about ancient Roma. Then she talked about how did the Roman cilivization grew out. grew out of a small agricultural community founded on the Italian Peninsula as early as the 10th century BC. Then she asked the student to talked about there own opinion about the Roma and Roman civilization. Some of them had very briliant idea. Like one student said Roman civilization shifted from a monarchy to an oligarchic republic to an increasingly autocratic empire. It came to dominate Western Europe and the Mediterranean region through conquest and assimilation. Then the teacher told us about the Roman civilization's contribution for the whole world: Roman civilization is often grouped into "classical antiquity" with ancient Greece, a civilization that inspired much of the culture of ancient Rome. Ancient Rome contributed greatly to the development of law, war, art, literature, architecture, technology and language in the Western world, and its history continues to have a major influence on the world today.

Course Title: ECO 202-03 principles of Macroeconomics
Professor: Stuart D. Allen
Class visitation report
Today I go to UNCG class- economics. The class isn’t too big and I sit in the middle.
The lesson talks about the history of Macroeconomics, which includes the reason Great depression stock MKT crash. The first one is SMOOT-HAWLWY Protective Tariff and the second one is tax raised in 1932. The last one is banking crisis and fallings of FED to ACTASCENDER of CAIT Resort. Then the teacher taught us what LIQUIDITY TRAP is. In economics, a liquidity trap is a situation when the economy is stagnant and the interest rate is equal to, or slightly above, 0 percent. Then he talks about the economic history from 1960s to 1970s in United States and what affected it. After that, the teacher asks students to do some exercises. I think it’s interesting to know about some history of economics in America. Today every student takes notes and listens carefully. Maybe it’s not easy to understand the principle of economics, so students raise questions many times. Sometimes the teacher asks students to look at the book. I don’t have a book, so I can’t look at the information.

Class visitation report
This class is about Microeconomics. I take this class in the big classroom. When teacher is come into classroom, he starts the topic about economic crisis. He wants students think about the economic crisis related to people or markets. He also said that the prices are falling down and the best tactic to solve it is stimulate people spend more expenditure. Because if people spend more money on the stuff, the government can have more tax revenue and build highways or parks. This class recalls my university memory. Professor mentions about something that I already learn in University so I can understand some academic parts. I think if I have chance in the future, I would like to visit again.

The professor mentioned an assignment. It was watching the presentation about ‘Financial Crisis’. And it was not necessary, but if students watching it, he would give them extra credit, 2 points. It was similar to Korean classes. I think it could be for letting them know about current economic situation. When I was in Korea, our professor also gave us this kind of assignments. The Topic was the past economic events. The professor explained how those events could affect to real economy by using S & L model and AS & AD model. The past economic events were changing economic policies and supply shocks. Because the world economy is in crisis, the professor tried to explain how to relate to current situation. And he also explained about Auto-Boil out, the results of past boil outs.

When I was waiting to start class, there were two women on the platform. I thought one could be the professor and the other could be the assistant teacher, but they were not. One of them was on the platform for translating to finger language. It looked so good, because it made deaf students able to take a class. The topic of the class was ‘Psychological Disorders’. The professor mentioned that Phobia is an exaggerated, unrealistic fear of a specific situation activity or object. And there are some kinds of phobia, Social phobia, Agoaphobia, Specific phobia and so on. And she also mentioned ‘Obsessive-compulsive disorder’ and ‘Depression’. Obsessive-compulsive disorder is an anxiety disorder in which a person feels trapped in repetitive, persistent thoughts and repetitive, ritualized behaviors designed to reduce anxiety. The topic of this class was “Element Decomposition” in other words, how to separate the element components and the variety of them. An example is the CO2 that via formula you can change it to a different type of element. It was interesting to know about it but I have to say that I didn’t have fun at all.

The topic was Chapter 12, Pregnancy through Infancy. Before starting the class, Professor gave us to eat Holloween chocolate. She seperated with two parts to explain. One was for men and the other was for women. However she focused on only women. First, She introduced Vitamins for health. Also she said that woman should be worried about obese, hypertension, preventing to gain weight, low birth weight baby. And she said that women shoud stop to smoke, Folic acid, Botanicals, and the others. When professor was expaining about these things, students asked questions that they didn't understand. This class was easy to understand because I learned about this topic. However, the teaching way was something different. Students asked a lot of questions during class. And professor progressed her class to use discussion. It was really interesting for me.

He explained through his hand paper which is cursive script so it was hard to understand and read it. He showed a lot of pictures that prove the bond relationship. And he introduced new formula to solve the relationship between two Ionic. He used specific information which is C-C bond. This class was a little bit boring because he used his paper and there was nobody who asked questions. However, his speaking was very clear so I think I improved my listening skill.

This class was in the morning so I had to wake up early. I went to the class early, however the professor was late. He progressed his lecture to use powerpoint based on Gregory Mankiw. Topic was about supply/demand graph. This class was boring. He always used graph and gave some examples to solve the quiz. Half of the students who was in the class opened their labtop and did their jobs. He always explained to use only an abbreviated word so I didn't catch the lecture. However, the professor was really handsome.
